This release fixes a few bugs introduced in previous versions of OpenMPT
1.22 and also adds several new features and other improvements.
If everything goes well and no new big bugs are found, this will be the
last release of OpenMPT 1.22. It's been a somewhat bumpy road since a
lot of code has been restructured and rewritten to facilitate the
separation of player and tracker code for the upcoming libopenmpt (a new
cross-platform module playing library and a replacement for the more or
less dead libmodplug), but the important steps have been done, so the
number of drastic code chances should decrease again. For the upcoming
OpenMPT 1.23, we plan the first official release of a 64-bit version of
OpenMPT, completely with our own plugin bridge to simplify usage of
32-bit plugins in a 64-bit OpenMPT and vice versa.

This is a bugfix release to address the crashes that were experienced
when dealing with soundfonts in the tree view. Sorry for the
inconvenience - but this bug is now finally fixed.
Apart from this, this release only brings a few other bugfixes and other
improvements.
These are the noteworthy improvements and changes in OpenMPT 1.22.05.00:
This is mostly a bugfix release to address problems found in the
previous OpenMPT 1.22 release, so upgrading to the latest version is
advised. There are a couple of new and improved features, too.
These are the noteworthy improvements and changes in OpenMPT 1.22.03.00:
Not much time has passed since the release of OpenMPT 1.21, yet there is
a significant number of new features and improvements in this new
version. Read on to learn more about the new stuff in OpenMPT 1.22,
including some noteworthy changes in the sound setup that may cause some
confusion with old-time users at first:
Even though the version jump is big (from OpenMPT 1.20 to 1.21), this
version brings just a few new features and improvements, but they are
crucial enough to deserve a new version number. These are the highlights
of the OpenMPT 1.21 "Christmas release":
It's been 15 years to the day when the very first version of ModPlug
Tracker was released by Olivier Lapicque. "ModPlug Tracker 0.0xa
pre-alpha" dates back to September 19, 1997. I wonder if anyone
actually still has this version. It's great to see that ModPlug Tracker
(now OpenMPT) is still alive and kicking after 15 years, even though
parts of code clearly show their age and need to be rewritten.
So, happy birthday, ModPlug! Let's celebrate this occasion with cake
and and music (minus the cake part).
